Jean Fous
French, 1901-1971

He became famous in the 1940’s when he exhibited in Paris Salon d’Automne and in private galleries.  He had his first exhibition at his father’s shop Rue Du Dragon in Paris in 1944.

He did participate in the Main International Exhibitions of Native Paintings.

In 1960 in Paris, at La Maison de la Pensee Francaise

In 1962 in London with “ Les Peintres Naifs”

He liked to paint popular Fairs, Village Weddings and especially “Le Marche aux Puces” where he was himself a “Brocanteur”
